Worth Reading
Since reading Mormons in Transiton by Leslie Reynolds, I have been eagerly awaiting a review of the book or interview with the author in The Tribune.
As a non-Mormon living in Salt Lake City for the past 20 years, I have read a number of books exalting and debasing the Mormon religion. Ms. Reynolds’ book impresses me for its clarity and objectivity about a most delicate subject. After reading it, I felt for the first time some accurate
understanding of my Mormon friends and the dilemmas they face. I have acquired an appreciation both for those who remain true to the Mormon Church as well as those who seek spirituality elsewhere.
